Claire MOREL
Claire is an International Arbitration partner, qualified in England & Wales and in New York. With a mixed common and civil law background, she completed her legal education in Belgium and the United States.
She practises international arbitration as counsel, advocate, and arbitrator, conducting proceedings in both English and French.
Claire has particular experience in disputes relating to technology, corporate transactions, infrastructure projects, licenses, cross-border sale or service agreements, and matters involving secrecy, intellectual property, and cybersecurity issues.
She is listed on the Lists of Arbitrators of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center and the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre. She has served as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, and chair of tribunal in arbitrations conducted under the Arbitration Rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, and CEPANI.
Claire is a co-founder of the award-winning initiative Mute Off Thursdays and serves as an LCIA EDI Champion. She also sits on the ICC Taskforce on the Use of Information Technology in Arbitral Proceedings, the ICC Taskforce on Disability Inclusion in International Arbitration, the IBA Arbitration Committee Taskforce on Privilege in International Arbitration, and the Advisory Board of CyberArb.
