Managing partner

Stéphane de Navacelle is the managing partner of Navacelle – a Paris-based global corporate litigation boutique which practices predominantly criminal law, regulatory defense, internal investigations, compliance, complex commercial litigation, international arbitration and mediation.

Stéphane has over 15 years' experience dealing with investigations and enforcement action in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. He advises global conglomerates with rolling out and auditing ethics and compliance programs as well as governance issues, was appointed Independent Compliance Monitor and Expert by International Development Banks (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022), a member of the Independent Committee on Sexual Abuse in the Catholic Church in France (CIASE, 2019-2021) and is a Paris Bar disciplinary judge.

Stéphane is also involved in international arbitration related matters, in particular where corruption is alleged before arbitral tribunals and national courts. Navacelle recently represented a party before the Versailles Court of Appeal in an appeal against the exequatur order of an award where one party alleged that the award breached international public policy due to corruption.
