Presentation

The conference ‘The Future of Investment Arbitration in Central Asia: Impact of UNCITRAL WGIII Reforms' will take place on 9 April 2025 in the office of Linklaters.

The top speakers from UNCITRAL, arbitral institutions, law firms, and academia will discuss UNCITRAL's progress on the topical reform elements currently under discussion, such as dispute prevention, including investment mediation; the code of conduct and requirements for arbitrators; and third-party funding. The experts from the Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan) will provide their perspectives and experiences regarding the proposed UNCITRAL reform elements. The conference will be of interest to practitioners, who are interested in the Central Asian region and who wish to comprehend the progress and impact of WGIII's work.
