Over 253 partners, including law firms, experts, service providers, universities, and arbitration institutions from around the world, contributed to the success of the week.
More than 230 events were organized, with 145 held in person and 37 in hybrid format, alongside over 40 social events and cocktail receptions.
The week attracted over 40,500 registration requests and saw more than 6,000 unique active accounts on the PAW website, almost doubling last year’s figures.
Diamana Diawara and Benjamin Siino, co-presidents of the PAW Board, comment “this edition was not only the largest in PAW’s history but also underscored the event’s core mission: uniting all stakeholders in international arbitration, transcending regional and political barriers, and advancing the rule of law.”
Commercial arbitration issues dominated the conference agenda, with recurring topics such as energy and natural resources, and national arbitration disputes. Some of the events also addressed some of PAW’s core values, such as Professor Mohamed Abdel Wahab’s keynote speech on diversity, or the PAW Sustainability Event, , introduced by Mr. Fabius’ keynote speech, which focused on the place of sustainable development-related fundamental rights in arbitration. Other events and conferences were devoted to artificial intelligence and its impact on arbitration proceedings, or to the particularities of different countries and geographical areas.
The next PAW General Assembly, during which three new Board members will be elected, will be held on the 20th of June.
