Ashish Bhan is a Partner at Trilegal and leads the firm’s commercial litigation, arbitration, and white-collar crime practice. He represents Indian and multinational clients in complex corporate and commercial disputes before courts and tribunals in India as well as international arbitral tribunals. His practice spans sectors including defence, telecommunications, broadcasting, infrastructure, banking, and investment funds, and he regularly acts for corporates, financial institutions, and high net worth individuals in high-value disputes.
Ashish has significant experience in arbitration and arbitration-related court proceedings, including matters administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the London Court of International Arbitration, and has served as an Indian law expert in arbitration proceedings conducted under the auspices of the American Arbitration Association. He has also advised clients on bilateral investment disputes involving the Government of India and other States, and regularly advises on insolvency matters, including resolution processes involving major non-banking financial institutions.
Ashish is widely recognised for his white-collar practice and has represented clients in prominent anti-corruption matters in India, including the 2G Spectrum Case and the Coal Allocation Scam. He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association of India, the Delhi High Court Bar Association, and the International Bar Association, and serves on the panel of arbitrators of the Caspian Arbitration Society. He has been recognised by Benchmark Litigation, Who’s Who Legal, Asian Legal Business, and Chambers and Partners for his disputes and arbitration practice.
