Diamana Diawara is a partner at the Arbitration and Dispute Resolution boutique law firm TALEX INTERNATIONAL.

She holds a Master 2 in International Trade Law from the University of Paris Nanterre and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Admitted to the Paris Bar, she began her career at the international arbitration department of Dentons in Paris before joining the ICC International Court of Arbitration in 2012, where she spent fourteen years. She served for over eight years as Counsel in charge of the France/Middle East/Africa team, before being appointed, in 2021, as the Court’s inaugural Regional Director for Africa, a role she held until December 2025.

She is also a lecturer at the University of Montpellier’s diploma programme in national and international arbitration. Diamana Diawara is the co-president of Paris Arbitration Week. She is a founding member of AfricArb, the former head of the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAAF) Africa Chapter, and a member of the OHADA group of the French Arbitration Committee.

She has been listed in Who’s Who Legal’s Future Leaders of International Arbitration rankings (2021–2023), and was nominated in the Global Elite Thought
