Diana CORREA

Diana Correa is an arbitrator based in Bogotá, Colombia, and a professor at the University Externado of Colombia, where she teaches public and economic international law, private and contract international law, and commercial and investment arbitration. She is also an Associate Professor-Researcher at the Institute of Higher Studies in International Law - IHEl of the University Pantheon-Assas (Paris |I).
Professor Correa has acted in more than 70 local and international arbitrations conducted under various arbitration rules such as ICC, ICSID, CPA, UNCITRAL and others before several local Chambers of Commerce (e.g.
Bogotá, Lima, Madrid, Guatemala, Panamá). She has a rich experience in working with international law experts, well-known international arbitrators, lawyers trained in both civil and common law systems, in various sectors, including oil, mining, energy, construction, joint ventures, telecommunications, transportation, and others.
She is part of several arbitrator lists of arbitration centres in the LATAM region and has recently (since
2024) been included in the ICSID arbitrators list for a 6 year-period.
Dr. Correa holds a PhD in Public International Law from the University of Paris. Il, two postgraduate degrees (LLM): one, in Private International Law, and other in International Economic Law from the same university, as well as a degree in Damages and Responsibility Law from the University Externado of Colombia.
In addition, Diana is President of the Colombian Chapter of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club - CEIA, member of the Arbitration and ADR Commission of the ICC, member of the Commission of Good Arbitration Practices of the International Arbitration Centre of Madrid - CIAM, representative of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce before the CIAC Mujeres.She is an annual contributor to the General Review of International Law in France and is recognised as a global leader in arbitration by the prestigious Lexology (former WWL) ranking.
