Manuel Tomas is a partner in Fidal’s Paris office and leads the firm’s arbitration practice.

He advises and represents states, public entities and multinational companies in their most complex international disputes.

Manuel has more than 15 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation and in both ad hoc and institutional international arbitration, including proceedings conducted under the ICC, SCC, CMAP, CCJA, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules. He also appears before local courts across the OHADA region and, more broadly, regularly handles disputes with a strong African nexus.

He has extensive experience in commercial and contractual disputes and has developed particular expertise in matters involving banking, mining, rail and aviation law, as well as the energy, digital services, petrochemicals, telecommunications and joint venture sectors.

Manuel also has recognised expertise in arbitration-related court proceedings, including exequatur, setting-aside actions and asset seizure, as well as in the cross-border service of judicial and extra-judicial documents and the enforcement in France of foreign judgments.
