Shaneen Parikh is a Partner and Head of International Arbitration at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. She is dual qualified under Indian and English law, is an Advocate-on-Record before the Supreme Court of India, and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer of the Singapore International Commercial Court.
With over three decades of experience, Shaneen focuses on international arbitration, including both commercial and investor–State disputes, as well as domestic arbitration. She has represented clients in foreign- and India-seated arbitrations under a range of institutional rules and in ad hoc proceedings. She also has extensive experience in commercial litigation, having appeared before courts and tribunals across India, including the Supreme Court and various High Courts. Her practice spans disputes involving commercial contracts, post-M&A matters, infrastructure and construction projects, and financial and structured products, with particular expertise in multi-forum and multi-jurisdictional disputes.
In addition to acting as counsel, Shaneen frequently sits as arbitrator in domestic and international matters. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, is a member of the Governing Board of International Council for Commercial Arbitration, and sits on the Council of the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration. She has also served on the Court of Arbitration of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and is consistently recognised by Lexology, Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, and Benchmark Litigation for her arbitration practice.
