Veronique Buehrlen KC is a leading silk at Keating Chambers with a highly distinguished practice in international arbitration, commercial litigation and advisory work, with particular emphasis on complex construction, engineering and energy disputes. She is widely recognised for her expertise in disputes involving delay, disruption, force majeure and termination, frequently arising on major infrastructure and energy projects worldwide.

Veronique brings a unique perspective through her varied practice as leading counsel and international arbitrator and having sat as a Deputy High Court Judge (TCC) from 2017-2023. As an arbitrator, Veronique is recognised for a fair, thoughtful and measured approach, with extensive experience across ICC, LCIA and other international arbitral fora.

Her recent and ongoing work includes advising on delay and disruption issues on large scale refinery, tank farm, offshore wind, pipeline and oil & gas platform projects, as well as high value arbitrations concerning suspension, termination, Covid and supply chain impacts on major international construction projects. She has acted in disputes seated across Europe, the Middle East and beyond.

Veronique regularly works on disputes with a strong cross border dimension, and is consistently ranked by the leading legal directories for both construction and international arbitration work. She is bilingual French/English.
