Clyde & Co: a heavyweight global arbitration practice

Ranked in GAR30 as one of the world’s leading international arbitration practices, we specialise in cross-border, multi-jurisdictional and complex international arbitration cases and regularly assist both investors and states and/or, state-owned entities with their disputes.

Our presence on six continents has enabled us to build a particularly strong reputation and we are adept at conducting large scale complex arbitrations all over the world, irrespective of the governing law, the arbitral rules or the language of the arbitration. At any one time we are working on over 400 arbitrations globally.

Our arbitration practice in Paris

Established in 1992, the Paris office is Clyde & Co’s oldest office in Europe. Our experience encompasses commercial and investment-state arbitrations seated in Paris, Geneva, London and other jurisdictions. Our work comprises ICC, UNCITRAL, and ICSID matters, as well as set aside and enforcement proceedings in various sectors. We regularly handle disputes arising out of shareholder, joint-venture and distribution agreements, as well as investment treaties.

Disputes from A to Z: We handle mediations, arbitrations, and post-arbitration litigation, which provides our clients with a one-stop shop for their disputes.
An all-encompassing perspective on disputes: We offer our clients not only the perspective of counsel, but also that of arbitrator and of the institution.

ICC-insider knowledge: As a firm we are the third largest user of the ICC globally. In addition, Nadia Darwazeh, Head of our Paris arbitration practice, previously headed up the ICC' Europe, Middle East, and Africa team and supervised hundreds of arbitrations. This invaluable expertise provides unmatched insight into the inner workings of the ICC.
