About us

Ciarb is an independent, charitable membership and professional body committed to supporting the effective resolution of disputes. Ciarb champions all aspects of dispute resolution across arbitration, mediation and adjudication, setting robust ethical standards. Ciarb delivers learning and networking opportunities, qualifications, mentorship, research and resources, events, and best practice guidance for its members and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practitioners globally. Ciarb has 44 Branches connecting more than 18,000 members across 150 jurisdictions worldwide.

The European Branch of Ciarb is led by Chair Dr Phillip Landolt, Vice-Chairs Jacob Jørgensen, Casper Gammelgaard, Christopher Chinn, Secretary Roberto Oliva, and Treasurer Athina Fouchard Papaefstratiou. It comprises numerous country chapters. The European Branch of Ciarb organises numerous conferences and webinars each year. Its 2025 annual conference on "Darwinism in ADR" will take place on Friday, 25 April 2025 in Athens, Greece.
