About us

DZ VYAP is the Algerian chapter of the Global Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (VYAP) network.

The initiative is designed for young Algerian lawyers, as well as students, trainee lawyers, legal academics, and other early-career professionals with an interest in international arbitration. It also welcomes non-Algerian professionals who reside in Algeria, work within its legal landscape, or are engaged in arbitration cases connected to the country - provided they have no more than six years of experience in the field.

DZ VYAP seeks to support young practitioners by improving access to international opportunities, promoting inclusion, and encouraging the development of skills and networks essential to a career in arbitration.

It also aims to enhance Algeria’s visibility as a credible venue for arbitration, and to create bridges between generations, between practice and academia, and between local and international communities.

Key activities include intellectual events such as conferences or webinars; publications dedicated to arbitration in Algeria; networking opportunities; and a mentoring programme.
