Presentation

1) Third Party Funding in Construction Disputes: Enforcement and Annulment Issues

Third party funding has become a fixture in international arbitration. TPF is becoming ever more relevant to capital-intensive and complex industries with high-stakes disputes, most notably construction. This panel brings together representatives from TPF firms alongside arbitration practitioners with experience working with TPF partners. The discussion will explore some of the most timely issues in this area, including TPF cost apportionment and control rights and TPF appearances in enforcement and annulment proceedings.

2) Title: Construction disputes: global trends, regional challenges.

This panel brings together arbitrators, experts, and practitioners with experience in construction disputes in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe to discuss the current state of construction dispute resolution worldwide. The discussion will explore how global trends, including technological advancement, risk allocation strategies, and evolving contractual frameworks, manifest differently across regions, and how local legal traditions and market conditions shape the resolution of construction disputes in practice.
