Presentation

The 2018 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change set 1.5°C above the pre-industrial baseline as the threshold beyond which the consequences of climate change present a significant risk. The world is now stepping over that threshold and into the unknown.

As the effects of climate change become increasingly evident, the projects that form the backbone of our practice as international lawyers will be affected in dramatic and unpredictable ways: whether because of extreme weather events, or due to secondary impacts such as regulatory changes, pricing fluctuation or geopolitical instability.

This panel, hosted by Trinity International, brings together leading lawyers and experts in the environmental, climate and arbitration spheres, to grapple with the consequences of these risks, and the way that they will play out in the arbitration sphere.
