About us

Founded by three KCs in 2011, Assurety is the UK’s leading witness preparation company, trusted by leading law firms in cases where witness performance is critical to achieving a successful outcome at trial and arbitration.

We prepare witnesses in a way few others can, through a specialist training team of leading practising barristers, communications experts and performance psychologists. This unique combination of expertise enables us to teach, test and refine the skills each witness needs to withstand the pressures of giving evidence.

Our Approach to Witness Preparation

Through the quality of our barristers
Every session is delivered by a leading barrister in full-time practice. All are either KCs or senior barristers, many of whom also sit as High Court Judges, arbitrators or mediators. They bring thousands of hours of cross-examination experience and first-hand insight into what makes an effective witness.

Multi-disciplinary insight
Sessions are always delivered by more than one trainer, allowing the barrister to focus fully on cross-examination practice and familiarisation. Sessions draw on the expertise of communications experts and performance psychologists to provide holistic support and targeted feedback.

Designed around real pressures
Cross-examination is as close as possible to the real experience, based on real-life events that matter rather than artificial role-play. Video playback is used throughout. In our Level 2 and Level 3 courses, heart rate monitoring and our bespoke psychological profiling tool provide deeper insight into witness performance under pressure.

Every case is different. We work with legal teams to determine the appropriate level of preparation for each witness, and why. We are always happy to discuss witness preparation needs on a confidential basis.
