Our Arbitration Practice

We have a market leading position in relation to the resolution of complex engineering and construction disputes, very often involving projects which are of critical strategic and financial importance to our clients, both via international arbitration and the domestic courts.

We have offices in the major international arbitration centres of London, Paris, Singapore, Dubai and Beijing. We have experience of resolving complex construction and engineering disputes in both common law and civil law jurisdictions.

We also have close links to the major arbitral institutions such as the ICC, LCIA, AAA, SIAC and HKIAC and are well versed in their arbitration rules. Our teams, including our Paris team, have a focused experience on ICC arbitration and have extensive experience handling ICC arbitrations in Africa and in particular in Francophone Africa. We have close links to the ICC itself and we are able to enter in direct contact with the ICC Secretariat in order to promote efficiency of proceedings.

Specifically, we acted in international arbitrations in many disputes concerning power generation using coal, gas, wind, solar, hydroelectric, tidal, waste to energy, nuclear and nuclear decommissioning. We regularly advise on commercially significant disputes arising out of joint venture and consortium and subcontracting arrangements which are commonplace in such projects.
