CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Programme
The PAW Fellowship is a new initiative designed to broaden access to international arbitration by mentoring and funding promising practitioners from jurisdictions where arbitration is still emerging.
The programme enables selected PAW Fellows to attend Paris Arbitration Week (PAW) and gain invaluable first-hand exposure to the field.
A grant of up to EUR 3000 (subject to evidence of expenses) is offered to the selected PAW Fellows as a contribution to their travel, accommodation and daily expenses in Paris.
PAW Fellows follow a three-part pathway into international arbitration:
- BEFORE PAW (Feb-Mar 2026): Introductory webinars on international arbitration taught by PAW Board members and/or sponsor firms
- DURING PAW (week of 23 March 2026): Attendance at PAW, including access to official PAW events
- AFTER PAW (week of 30 March 2026): Mentoring sessions, networking and team-building activities offered by sponsor firms
Become a PAW Fellow
The pilot PAW Fellowship programme for 2026 focuses on practitioners based in Africa and Asia. The candidates must:
- Be based in jurisdictions where international arbitration is still emerging
- Hold a law degree
- Have at least three years of professional experience as a practicing lawyer, in-house counsel, judge or civil servant specialising in dispute resolution
- Not have previously attended the Paris Arbitration Week
To apply, please send your CV and a motivation letter to contact@parisarbitrationweek.com by 31 December 2025.
Your motivation letter should also include:
- Your previous exposure to arbitration, if any
- Your academic or professional achievements you are most proud of
- How becoming a PAW Fellow aligns with and supports your career objectives
- Details regarding your ability to obtain a visa for Paris (including how much time in advance you will need to begin the process)
Selection will be made by the PAW Board by mid-January 2026, prioritizing candidates who would otherwise be unable to self-fund their attendance at PAW.
Thank you for your interest!
Become a Sponsor
Join us as a PAW Fellowship sponsor and help connect the world of arbitration, promoting the Paris market worldwide, and championing international accessibility and solidarity!
As a sponsor firm, you will contribute an amount of €3 000 (payable to PAW), to be used towards covering the transport and/or accommodation expenses of the PAW Fellows.
Privileged contact with the PAW Fellows
Being a sponsor will give you the possibility of a privileged contact with the PAW Fellows, before, during and after the Paris Arbitration Week:
- BEFORE PAW: PAW Fellowship Sponsors may, if interested, participate in the introductory webinars on international arbitration offered to the PAW Fellows.
