Aarta Alkarimi, a Chartered Arbitrator and Accredited Mediator, has served as an arbitrator on over 50 complex cases governed under the Rules of leading arbitral institutions, including LCIA, SIAC, ICC, DIAC, AIAC, Arbitrate AD, ADCCAC and AAA-ICDR. Recently transitioning into a full-time arbitrator and mediator, her work spans high-stakes disputes in construction, infrastructure, international trade, real estate, and corporate matters, with a particular focus on the Middle East and the wider Asia.

Recognized as "Arbitrator of the Year 2024" by LexisNexis, Aarta has presided over complex disputes involving strategic infrastructure projects, international business and trade and shareholder issues. She is listed on the President’s List of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is empaneled with major arbitral institutions globally.

Aarta is the Vice-Chair of the International Bar Association's International Projects Committee. She is an instructor for the DIAC's Diploma in International Arbitration, guest speaker for the MSc Major Programme Management at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and provided training to members of various national arbitral institutions including Sri Lanka and Maldives.
