Carlos ARRUE MONTENEGRO

Dr. Arrue Montenegro's practice focuses on his role as international arbitrator and expert in international litigation and commercial and investment arbitration under the rules of institutions such as the ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL, among others.. He has been counsel in charge of international arbitration matters at the Panama Canal Authority since 2015 and handled one of the largest construction arbitrations in history. Dr. Arrue Montenegro also acts as an arbitrator. He is a member of the ICSID roster of arbitrators.

He is a professor of international litigation, international commercial law, and private international law at the University of Panama. He has been a visiting professor at conferences organized by universities in Barcelona, ​​Paris, and Rotterdam. He is the author of several publications on international litigation and arbitration, including the book L'autonomie de la volonté dans le conflit de juridictions (LGDJ, 2011, pp. 582).
