Dominique HASCHER

Dominique Hascher is currently an independent arbitrator after sitting on the Bench of the Supreme Judicial Court of France for the past 13 years. He is also an international judge of the Supreme Court of Singapore (Singapore international Commercial Court).
Dominique Hascher is a graduate of the Universities of Paris II and Harvard (Fulbright Scholar). He was Adjunct-Professor of Law at the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne (2001-2015) and a Visiting Professor at University College London (Fall 2005) and at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law (Fall 2007) and lectured at the Hague Academy of International Law (1999 and 2022).

He acted as General Counsel and Deputy-Secretary General of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) from 1990 to 1998.

He has experience in ICC (President), CAS-Court of Arbitration for Sports (Sole Arbitrator) and ICSID (Chair and Member) arbitration.
He has been designated as Appointing Authority by the PCA-Permanent Court of Arbitration (UNCITRAL Rules).
He is on the panel of arbitrators of the Hong-Kong International Arbitration Center and a member of the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

Advisory Member (2020), International Council Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) Governing Board and co-chair of the ICCA Judiciary Committee (2017-2020).
President of the French Society of Comparative Law (2015-2019) and of the Franco-British Lawyers Society (2005-2008).
