Gabriele Ruscalla is a partner at Le 16 Law, a Paris-based law firm specialising in the management and resolution of business law disputes. He is admitted to the Paris Bar and has fifteen years of experience in international arbitration. He represents companies, States, and public entities in international commercial and investment arbitration proceedings, notably in the construction, energy, mining, and corporate sectors, as well as in disputes relating to agency and distribution agreements and contracts for the sale of goods.

He has acted in arbitrations conducted under the principal arbitration rules, including those of the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, AFA, UNCITRAL, CCJA, the Swiss Arbitration Centre, and the Milan Chamber of Arbitration, both as counsel and as arbitrator.

A significant part of his practice focuses on infrastructure and energy projects in the Middle East and Africa, which frequently involve complex technical issues and multiple legal regimes, including French, Swiss, Algerian, Qatari, Kuwaiti, Emirati, Congolese, Chilean, and Singaporean law, as well as international law and transnational rules.

A former Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration, where he administered several hundred arbitration proceedings, Gabriele practises in English, French, and Italian. He is Co-Chair of the ESG Subcommittee of the IBA Arbitration Committee (2026–2028) and a member of numerous academic and professional associations dedicated to arbitration.
