Hannah ECKHOFF

Hannah is a Director at BioNTech SE and part of BioNTech’s global dispute resolution team. In her role, she manages a variety of complex disputes in Germany and internationally, including commercial litigations, arbitrations and mass claims. She is providing legal and strategic advice to various business functions and serves as a key legal point of contact for dispute-related queries. She is based in BioNTech’s headquarter in Mainz.

Before joining BioNTech, Hannah was a Principal Associate in Freshfields’ International Arbitration Group. During her time at Freshfields, she has gained vast experience in advising German and international clients on all aspects of international commercial arbitration and litigation. She has advised clients in numerous high-stake commercial arbitrations under the auspices of various major arbitration institutions. As a member of Freshfields’ International Arbitration Group, Hannah had a particular focus on high-value, complex cross-border arbitrations covering a wide range of different industries and subject matters, such as aviation, automotive, construction, pharmaceuticals, post-M&A and annulment proceedings. She has worked in Freshfields’ Frankfurt, New York City and Madrid offices and was seconded to Airbus in France for six months, where she helped managing Airbus’ international disputes.

Hannah regularly speaks and publishes on topical issues in international arbitration.
