Karen Laïk is an international arbitration and disputes lawyer at Clifford Chance, Paris. She represents companies and state entities in complex cross-border disputes covering a wide range of jurisdictions and business sectors including energy, renewables, construction, oil and gas, mining, post M&A, services, and aerospace. Her experience include over 30 arbitration proceedings, under numerous governing laws, as well as pre-dispute advice or settlement negotiations.
Karen is admitted to practice in Paris and New York, holds a post-graduate degree in International Law and Economic Relations (Paris II Panthéon-Assas) and an LLM (New York University). She teaches a course on Evidence in international arbitration at Pantheon Assas Paris II, and is a member of several professional networks such as the CFA and the AFA. She is also a member of the Tel Aviv Arbitration Week’s Organizing Committee since 2022.
Karen joined the Paris Arbitration Week Board in June 2025.
Karen has a passion for music, and never happier than when singing around a piano with friends. She is part of an amateur band performing at Law Rocks events for the past few years.
