Laura is a litigation and arbitration partner in the Vancouver office of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, where she co-leads the national team that has been recognized as Canadian "Arbitration Firm of the Year" by Benchmark Litigation eight times (2018-2025) and is ranked as a Band 1 Chambers Canada practice. Laura is one of Benchmark Litigation's Top 100 Women in Canadian Litigation and is described in Chambers Canada Guide 2026 as "highly skilled”, “exceptionally talented” and “very effective in argument" and in the 2025 Guide as "consistently impressive" with "a clear talent for zooming in on the details that truly matter". She has extensive experience litigating and arbitrating disputes in the energy, mining, construction, hospitality, fashion, technology and infrastructure sectors. She also regularly advises or acts as dispute resolution counsel regarding disputes in the private equity and investment fund sector.

Laura is a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers as well as the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and the Construction Lawyers Society of America. Although she primarily acts as arbitration counsel, she occasionally serves as an intendent neutral and has been appointed to the rosters of several arbitral institutions. She has also been appointed to serve as a roster member for the dispute resolution panels established under the New West Partnership Trade Agreement and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement. She is a member of ICDR's Canada Advisory Committee, ITA's Advisory Board, and sits on the board of CanArbWeek. She also serves on the ICC Canada Arbitrator Nominations Commission.

Laura is committed to charitable work and is currently Co-chair of the Executive Leadership Committee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's 2025's Light the Night Campaign and Co-Chair of Counsel for a Cure. She previously served as President of the Board of Ballet BC and Touchstone Theatre Company.

In addition to being ranked as a leading lawyer in legal directories including Chambers Global, Chambers Canada, Lexpert (including Leading 500 Cross-Border Lawyers), the Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Benchmark Litigation and Lexology Index, Laura was included in Business in Vancouver's 40 under 40 list in 2021. Laura was the recipient of the Vancouver International Arbitration Centre's Excellence in Arbitration award in 2023.
