Lionel MARTIN

Lionel Martin is a Partner in August Debouzy’s Patents team, European Patent Attorney, attorney-at-law admitted to the Paris Bar, and UPC representative. He advises French and international clients on complex, cross-border patent disputes, acting before the French courts, the Unified Patent Court (UPC), the EPO, and the INPI.

Lionel regularly handles multi-jurisdictional matters involving parallel proceedings before the UPC, national courts and the EPO, with particular experience in technically sophisticated sectors such as telecommunications (including FRAND disputes), energy, medical devices and automotive technologies.

With a dual scientific and legal background, he combines strategic litigation expertise with deep technical understanding, and also assists clients in patent prosecution matters. He teaches IP law at leading engineering and law schools in France and abroad.
