•Dr. Ozgur Kan is a testifying and consulting expert (liability and quantum of damages) in disputes in state and federal courts and domestic and international arbitrations and is also a qualified arbitrator.
•He submitted expert reports and oral testimony on liability (customs & practices) and quantum of damages in numerous court cases in the U.S. and the U.K.
•He submitted expert reports and provided oral testimony on quantum of damages in domestic and international arbitration cases under FINRA, JAMS, ICSID, ICC, PCA.
•He is appointed as a co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in numerous disputes under ICC and ISTAC.
•Prior, Dr. Kan was a Managing Director in another global consulting firm, was the Head of the Credit Methodology function in GE-Capital Americas and was a Director in Moody’s. He taught as an academic in two universities and continues to occasionally teach courses as an adjunct instructor.
•He holds a PhD in Finance from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA; a Master of Laws–LLM (with distinction) from University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK; an MBA in Finance and BSc in Electrical Engineering from Middle East Tech University, Turkey.
•He holds Chartered Financial Analyst-CFA and Financial Risk Manager-FRM titles.
•He held FINRA Series 50 Municipal Advisor Representative (inactive) designation and worked on infrastructure, project finance, Public Private Partnership projects.
•He serves in numerous committees under NY City Bar, NY State Bar and American Bar Associations.
