Philippe COLEMAN


Professor of Public Law

Philippe Coleman is Professor of Public Law at Université Bretagne Sud (France). He previously served as Associate Professor at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and as Legal Counsel at Agence Française de Développement (AFD), where he worked on financing operations, sovereign debt restructuring and international law issues. He holds a PhD in Public Law from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

His research focuses on international investment arbitration, public contracts, economic statecraft and the interaction between international investment law, EU law, and domestic public law. He is the author of "Contrats publics et arbitrage d’investissements" (Public Contracts and Investment Arbitration) and has published extensively in leading French law journals on investor–State arbitration, State regulatory powers, and economic public law.

Philippe Coleman regularly teaches and speaks on investment arbitration and international investment contracts.
