Sargis GRIGORYAN

Sargis Grigoryan is a civil- and common-law-trained, trilingual lawyer with over 17 years of experience advising clients across the CIS region, with a particular focus on the South Caucasus, in international commercial and investment arbitration under the rules of all major arbitral institutions. His practice also encompasses arbitration-related court proceedings, including the enforcement of arbitral awards against sovereign states and state-owned entities.

He specialises in commodities, construction, and energy disputes, arising under commercial contracts and bilateral investment treaties, and regularly serves as an expert in CIS-related investment arbitration.

Sargis frequently serves as a guest lecturer on arbitration-related topics at the American University of Armenia and other academic institutions in the United States and Armenia, and holds law degrees from Georgetown University, Stockholm University, and Uppsala University.
