Shreya GUPTA

Shreya is a leading expert in financial valuation with particular expertise in disputes involving intellectual property (IP). She leads Oxera’s IP practice, and has advised on more than fifty disputes across a range of sectors including telecoms, hi-tech, life sciences and financial services. In IP disputes, Shreya's experience spans assessing reasonable royalties, hypothetical licence fees, accounts of profits, lost profits, and allegations of abuse of dominance. Beyond IP, Shreya brings wide-ranging expertise in counterfactual analysis and the quantification of damages in contract disputes, as well as in financial matters arising in post-M&A disputes.

Shreya frequently serves as an expert witness before courts and arbitral tribunals. Her arbitration experience spans proceedings under the rules of the LCIA, ICC, DIS, SCAI, SCC, GCCCAC and PCA. Shreya was named Arbitration Expert of the Year by Lexology in 2025 and she is recognised as a Global Elite Thought Leader in Lexology’s Arbitration directory for Expert Witnesses Under 45. In 2024 and 2025, Shreya was invited to co-chair GAR Live Damages conference in London. She also taught at the Durham Law School Summer Course on International Arbitration in 2025 and served as a faculty member of the GAR Academy on Damages in International Arbitration (2023–25) and the Delos Dispute Resolution course on IP valuation (2022–25).
