Valéry Denoix de Saint Marc is a partner at August Debouzy and a lawyer admitted to the Paris and Berlin Bars.

He has acted as an arbitrator since 1996, serving as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, or chairman, and regularly represents public and private parties, including sovereign states, in international arbitration proceedings conducted under the rules of leading institutions such as the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, DIS, and CMAP, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations.

His practice focuses primarily on international arbitration and dispute resolution. In addition, he advises French and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and mining and infrastructure projects, and assists governments, particularly in the CIS, Northern Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa, on investment legislation, arbitration, and privatization matters.

Before joining August Debouzy in 1998, Valéry was an associate in the Berlin office of a leading Franco-German law firm. Since then, he has overseen the firm’s international arbitration and cross-border transactional work, advising sovereign states and their institutions.
