Antje BAUMANN

Antje started her career in the International Arbitration Practice Group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She now runs her own law firm, BAUMANN Resolving Disputes, in Hamburg. Antje holds a PhD from the University of Osnabrueck and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of California at Berkeley.

Being dual qualified as a lawyer in Germany and in the United States (New York), she has handled more than 100 arbitrations as counsel, chairman, and party-appointed arbitrator, inter alia under the Rules of the ICC and DIS. Antje is particularly experienced in corporate disputes such as joint-venture or Post M&A disputes. Additional areas of expertise are energy related (gas and electricity supply and trading contracts, gas storage) and licensing disputes.

Antje is Honorary Professor at the University of Osnabrueck where she teaches International Arbitration and Negotiation Techniques. Furthermore, she is lecturer on M&A Disputes at Bucerius Law School, Hamburg. Antje is listed as one of the leading arbitrators at Chambers Europe, Who's Who Legal and Best Lawyers.
