Anne Claire ROUAUD


Professor of Law

Anne-Claire Rouaud is Professor of Law at the Sorbonne Law School (University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). For the last 15 years, first as Lecturer and for the last 9 years as Professor, she has been teaching French and European business, competition, banking and financial law. She teaches banking and financial law in the Master 2 in Business Law, in the Master 2 in Banking and Financial Law and in the Master 2 in Financial Law at the Sorbonne Law School and in the Master in Finance at the Sorbonne Management School.
Professor Rouaud is co-director of the Sorbonne Business & Financial Law Research Center (Sorbonne-Affaires/Finance) which is part of the Sorbonne Law Research Institute. She is one of the authors of a book on Financial law (LGDJ, fourth edition, 2023) and the author of a book on Banking Law (LexisNexis, 2023). She has published numerous articles with respect to business, banking and financial law. She is one of the authors of the Financial Case-law Review in the Banking & Law Review (Revue Banque & droit) since 2013 and co-director of the Banking regulation Review of the International Journal for Financial Services since the creation of the Journal in 2014.
She is a member of the Consultative Commission of the AMF (French Financial Markets Authority) on Clearing, Custody and Securities Settlement and expert member of the Legal High Committee for Financial Markets of Paris (HCJP). She also is a member of the scientific committee of the International Journal for Financial Services and of the editorial board of the Banking & Law Review, of the scientific committee and of the board of the European Association for Banking and Financial Law and of the scientific committee of the Legal Blockchain and Cryptos Association.
