ANDRES VILLEGAS

Andrés is a Partner at Sygna Partners (Paris) where he co-chairs the International Litigation and Arbitration division.

He advises and represents States before international courts and tribunals.

Before his current position, Andrés worked for a decade at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia where he served as senior adviser for five consecutive Ministers of Foreign Affairs on matters of public international law and diplomatic relations, and acted as Colombia’s litigation coordinator and counsel before the International Court of Justice – wherein he had previously served as law clerk.

Andrés is a member of the Legal Sub-Commission of the Caribbean Sea Commission – Association of Caribbean States; as well as an associate at the Instituto Hispano-Luso-Americano de Derecho Internacional.
