Caroline KLEINER


Arbitrator and Tenured Professor of law at the Faculty of Law

Caroline Kleiner is Professor of Law at Université Paris Cité, specialising in international commercial arbitration law, private international law and international banking and finance law. She has been invited to speak at numerous conferences abroad and also acts as a legal expert in international disputes and as an arbitrator.
Her current research interests focus on international commercial arbitration, crypto-currencies and central bank digital currencies, and the impact of international sanctions on international contracts and litigation. She is the author of several books and articles in French, English, German and Spanish (including: Arbitrage commercial international, une approche comparative, with F. Ferrari and F. Rosenfeld, Pedone, 2023).
She is the member of various expert groups on topics relating to with international finance (UNIDROIT on the legal nature of Voluntary Carbon Credits, HCJP (Haut Comité Juridique de la Place financière de Paris) on the legal nature of money and crypto-assets and conflict of laws).
