David PAVOT
David Pavot is a professor of international law at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada). His fields of expertise are public international law and sports law, with a particular interest in doping, human rights in sport, and finally, immunities in international law.
David holds the Research Chair in Anti-Doping on Sport at the University of Sherbrooke, and he is the Director of the Graduate diploma in Sport Governance and Anti-Doping. His work is supported by various research grants from several national and international research funding bodies.
David has been member of WADA’s Social Science Research Expert Advisory Group (2019-2023), has chaired Rugby Canada Ethics and Integrity Committee, and has been a member of the Vetting panel of World Boxing. He is also President of the Quebec Society of International Law, and member of the Board of the Canadian Council of International Law.
David is the author of over 100 publications. He also acts as a consultant for various organizations (notably in the field of sport and international law), and he is a regular media commentator.
