Flavia FOZ MANGE
Flavia Mange has experience as counsel, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, and president of arbitral tribunals, both in Portuguese and English, under the rules of several Brazilian and international arbitral institutions. Listed on the roster of arbitrators and mediators of the most renowned arbitration institutions.
She holds extensive experience in strategic litigation related to contract law, corporate law, and judicial proceedings related to arbitrations, in addition to international legal cooperation proceedings, especially recognition and enforcement of foreign awards.
Advises clients in the strategic management of sensitive issues, seeking to avoid the escalation of the conflict into litigation.
Provides legal opinions on arbitration, private international law, and international legal cooperation.
At the end of 2014, Flavia Mange was the co-founder and partner of Mange & Gabbay Sociedade de Advogados, currently Flavia Mange Advogados. Previously, the founding partner worked in renowned law firms in São Paulo in the areas of judicial litigation and arbitration; was Litigation Manager for Latin America at Hewlett-Packard; has worked on the International Arbitration team at Shearman & Sterling and Freshfield Bruckhaus in Paris; and has participated in the ICC Court of Arbitration internship program.
She has a masters’ and a doctors’ degree international law from the University of Sao Paulo (USP) and an LL.M in International Legal Studies from the New York University (NYU). She was visiting researcher at Harvard Law School (HLS) and a guest lecturer at Trinity College Dublin. She teaches at post-graduate students at FGV Law.
