Jackie OYUYO

Jackie is the Managing Partner at Umsizi LLP, and has considerable experience in a broad range of corporate, commercial and family matters from close to 25 years practice in various sectors.

A Chartered Arbitrator, she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Certified and Judiciary-Accredited Mediator. Jackie serves as Non-Executive Director on various Boards, notably as chairperson of the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA). She has played a critical role in the development of a National Policy on ADR in Kenya, and is a regular speaker in the areas of arbitration, mediation and corporate governance.

Jackie has served as a third-party neutral in a number of domestic and international commercial disputes, and is recognised in the Legal 500 Arbitration Power List (Africa) and Leaders in Law (Corporate Law, Kenya) global awards. In addition to teaching various undergraduate courses in ADR, she is a certified tutor with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a contributing author to the International and Comparative Legal Guide’s annual publication on Litigation and ADR
