Jacques-Alexandre GENET
Jacques-Alexandre Genet is a partner at Archipel, specialising in cross-border commercial litigation and high-stakes, complex asset recovery. His expertise encompasses the recognition and enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards, as well as the actual collection of assets.
He is a globally recognised authority in sovereign debt litigation, with over two decades of experience pursuing claims and recovering assets from sovereign entities. Chambers ranks him among the leading practitioners in global asset tracing and recovery, while Lexology acknowledges him as a leader in commercial litigation and asset recovery.
Jacques-Alexandre majored in economics and finance from Sciences Po Paris and graduated in civil and common law from University Paris X-Nanterre. He has taught courses on security interests at University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and currently lectures on international enforcement of arbitral awards at University Paris-Panthéon-Assas.
He is fluent in French and English, and has a working knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.
