Jérôme MOTTON

Jérôme Motton is a Partner at HKA based in the French Affiliate in Paris, France. A pioneer in France in the practice of contract and claims management, he was one of the first French nationals to graduate from Robert Gordon's University in a Quantity Surveying discipline and has gained over 30 years of experience in construction and contract consultancy and claims including negotiating and managing complex contractual situations. He provides training courses in contract and claims management tailor-made for his clients.
He has been engaged on a variety of commercial and claims management projects in the infrastructure, power and utilities, naval construction, construction of nuclear power plants, nuclear waste treatment plants, and oil & gas market sectors. Jérôme’s major projects experience includes oil and gas infrastructures onshore and offshore, nuclear power plants and waste treatment, naval military vessel construction, exported French high speed train projects, data centres, and high-rise office buildings.
Jérôme’s specialist experience gained with major international construction and engineering companies and contract consultancies includes development of procurement strategies, contract drafting and reviews, contract administration, risk analysis, extension of time and cost claim/defence preparation, dispute avoidance, third party independent reviews, and management and resolution through negotiation of disputes as well as contract management training.
Jérôme has developed and leads a team of French speaking experts in the HKA Paris office.
