Counsel

Julia is a Counsel at Clifford Chance, and works across the Australian offices on commercial arbitration, investor state arbitration, and cross-border litigation in various industry sectors, including aerospace and defence, construction and infrastructure, resources, tech, and financial investors. Julia acts as both counsel and arbitrator.

Julia is one of the leads of Clifford Chance's Global Space Group, and is particularly focused on space infrastructure (including satellites), and considerations relating to risk minimisation and dispute resolution amongst New Space players and traditional State actors. She has a particular interest in the ESG-dimension of space technology, including its terrestrial applications and issues associated with space traffic management and space debris.

Julia is common law and civil law trained – Australian qualified, and holds a Masters in French Law and European Community Law from Université Paris-1 in France. In addition to her experience in Australia, Julia has previously worked in Paris and Singapore.
Julia has been recognised in the Legal 500 - 2022 Private Practice Powerlist Arbitration ANZ and as a Future Leader in the Who's Who Legal Arbitration Guide 2023.
