Kiran SANGHERA
Kiran Sanghera is the Deputy Secretary-General at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). In this capacity, she is closely involved in the management of the centre, including its strategic planning, international promotion and in ensuring its dispute resolution services meet the needs of users around the globe.
Kiran previously spent time at HKIAC as Special Counsel, where she led the HKIAC's domain name dispute resolution team and oversaw HKIAC's business development activities. At that time, Kiran served as the Secretary-General of the Asian Domain Name Dispute resolution Centre (ADNDRC). She has also served as Counsel at HKIAC handling the administration of commercial arbitrations involving parties from Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Prior to joining HKIAC in her current role, Kiran spent time at the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) in Sydney as Deputy Secretary-General. She was also previously Director of Litigation Funding at Harbour Litigation Funding where she was responsible for developing the third-party funding market across Asia.
Kiran accumulated other institutional experience through her time at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris and the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague early in her career.
She is currently Co-chair of the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations (CGA) Institutions Taskforce and also sits on the CGA Global Steering Committee. She is past Co-Chair of HK45 and was previously a member of the Equal Representation in Arbitration (ERA) Pledge APAC Sub-Committee.
