Knud is the Head of Simonsen Vogt Wiig's international arbitration practice and is based in Oslo. He is qualified under Norwegian law and English law.

He is a member of the board of the SCC Arbitration Institute. He was part of the SCC's working group which developed the SCC’s Guide to the use of AI in SCC arbitrations. He also spoke about AI in arbitration during the Croatian Arbitration Days which were held in Zagreb in early December 2024 and will be presenting on AI in construction disputes at LIDW in June 2025.

Knud has acted as counsel in national and international arbitration cases, including cases under ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL and NOMA rules. He also serves as an arbitrator, and has been appointed both by parties and institutions such as the SCC and DIA.

Knud has detailed knowledge of Norwegian and international standard contracts for construction and engineering work, fabrication contracts and shipbuilding contracts. He also has extensive experience with target price contracts, joint ventures and various forms of partnering contracts.

Prior to focusing on dispute resolution, Knud worked with mergers and acquisitions and company law for several years. In addition to working as counsel and arbitrator, Knud has clerked at the Norwegian Supreme Court.
