Mathias AUDIT

Mathias Audit is a founding partner of the Paris-based disputes law firm Audit - Duprey - Fekl. He is also a Law Professor at the Sorbonne School of Law (University of Paris 1). Professor Audit is a member of the Paris Bar.

Professor Audit advises both private companies and sovereign states or foreign state entities. He represents his clients in commercial and investment arbitration proceedings as well as in judicial litigation with an international dimension.

In his capacity as counsel, Professor Audit advises on contractual arrangements, in particular in the energy and infrastructure sectors. His expertise also covers issues of economic sanctions and extraterritoriality. He is regularly solicited by clients or counsel for consultations on complex cases.

Professor Audit also regularly sits as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator or chair of arbitral tribunals, whether in ad hoc proceedings or in arbitrations conducted under the aegis of major institutions (ICC, VIAC, CACI, etc.), including in expedited proceedings.

In his academic functions at the Sorbonne School of Law, Professor Audit’s teachings focus on private international law, international commerce law, arbitration law, foreign investment law and project finance law. He also co-heads the Sorbonne’s Masters in Arbitration and International Commerce Law, as well as its LL.M. in Business Law for Foreign Lawyers.

Professor Audit is consistently recognized in the field of international arbitration by the major legal directories, including Who’s Who Legal and Décideurs Juridiques.

He has written extensively on commercial and investment arbitration, private international law, international trade law and international financial law. He is the co-author of an award-winning treatise on international trade and foreign investment law.
