Matthias CAZIER-DARMOIS

Matthias Cazier-Darmois has more than 15 years of experience in providing expert evidence and valuation advice in complex commercial disputes and international arbitrations.

Matthias assesses damages in judicial or arbitration proceedings, as may arise from alleged torts, breaches of contracts, or international treaties. Matthias testified in many investment and commercial arbitration proceedings, in French and in English in relating to disputes arising in several industries (including energy, mining, telecoms, or pharmaceutical). He has been recognised as one of the leading arbitration expert witnesses globally and as a “thought leaders” by Who’s Who Legal, who describe him as “one of the best experts in the market” with “excellent testifying skills”.

In addition to his work on contentious matters, Matthias is also regularly involved in non-contentious engagements, including acquisition due diligence, valuations in the context of fairness opinions or transactions, and corporate fraud investigations.

Before joining FTI Consulting Matthias has worked in the dispute and forensic team of Deloitte & Touch in Paris and in London.
