Paula KARAM

Graduated from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ) and completed postgraduate studies at the Rio de Janeiro State Judiciary School (EMERJ). Worked as a lawyer at Andrade & Fichtner Advogados before joining PETROBRAS in 2012, specializing in highly complex judicial and arbitral disputes related to regulatory, contractual, corporate, engineering matters. Winner of Petrobras Legal Innovation Award in the Best Legal Procedural Piece Category for the “Conflito de Competência de Parque das Baleias” (Parque das Baleias Jurisdictional Conflict), raised before the STJ (Superior Court of Justice). Holds experience in negotiating conflict resolutions through both judicial and extrajudicial agreements.
