Philippe PIAT
President
Philippe Piat is President of the Union nationale des footballeurs professionnels (UNFP), the trade union for professional football players in France.
Philippe Piat became the third president of the UNFP in 1969, whilst he was still a professional football player. He ended his career in 1973, having played center-forward in the French football clubs of Cannes, Strasbourg, Monaco, Sochaux and Laval.
Between 2005-2007 and 2013-2021, Philippe Piat was President of FIFPro, the international trade union representing 85 000 professional footballers. From 2007 to 2013, he was President of FIFPro’s European Division.
In July 2022, Philippe Piat was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor.
