Managing Director in the Sovereign Advisory Group

Pierre Cailleteau is leading or involved in several advisory assignment across the world, assisting sovereign authorities on strategic macroeconomic and financial policies: debt restructurings (Argentina, Ecuador, Zambia, Lebanon, Suriname...), debt issuance (Greece, Saudi Aramco...), balance-sheet optimization (ESKOM, BOAD...), rating advisory (Trinidad and Tobago...) and financial advisory in commercial litigation cases (Pakistan…).
He joined Lazard for the first time in 2010 until 2013 as a Managing director. He notably advised the European Central Bank in respect of countries affected by the debt and banking crisis and under a Troika Program, particularly for Ireland, Spain and Portugal. He also actively participated in the definition of the recapitalization strategies of their banking sector.
Afterwards, he became a member of the executive committee in charge of institutional clients at Amundi Asset Management from 2013 to 2015.
Previously, he worked at Moody's as the Global Head of Sovereign and Supra-national rating and Chief International Economist from 2004 to 2010.
From 1999 to 2002, Pierre Cailleteau was a Secretariat member of the Financial Stability Board at the Bank of International Settlements (BIS) Prior to BIS, Mr. Cailleteau was the advisor of the French Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
