Regis BISMUTH
Régis Bismuth is a Professor of Law at Sciences Po Law School (Paris). His primary areas of research and teaching include public international law, international economic law, monetary and financial law, and international adjudication.
He has authored numerous publications in these fields, with a particular focus on the extraterritoriality of law, economic sanctions, anti-corruption, sovereign immunity, sovereign debt, State capitalism, WTO law, international investment law and arbitration, international standards, financial regulation, the responsibility of multinational corporations, and the law of international organizations.
In addition to his academic work, he has served as an expert in various proceedings and has advised States, public institutions, corporations, and NGOs on matters of international law.
In the field of economic sanctions, he recently co-edited International Sanctions: Monetary and Financial Law Perspectives (Régis Bismuth, Luc Thévenoz & Chiara Zilioli, eds. – Brill, 2024).
