Renato NAZZINI


Professor of law, director, centre of construction law and dispute resolution

Renato is Professor of Law and Director of the Centre of Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at King’s College London and partner at LMS Legal LLP, London. In January 2025 it was announced that he would be appointed King’s Counsel (Hon) for his major contribution to English law. An experienced arbitrator and counsel in international arbitration, he has a wide industry knowledge, from construction, oil and gas and infrastructure to IT and digital, from M&A to IP. He is a dually qualified English Solicitor and Italian Advocate and has worked across Europe, Africa, Asia and America as counsel, arbitrator (as president of the tribunal, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and emergency arbitrator) and expert witness. He is a member of the ICC Arbitration and ADR Commission, Italy, a member of the ICC Task Force on Dealing with Corruption Issues in International Arbitration and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He also served for 7 years as a UK Government lawyer specialising in competition, regulation, telecoms and financial services. Renato published 10 books and more than 100 articles and book chapters. He has been Visiting Professor at the University of Turin, the University of Zurich, and FGV of San Paulo, Brazil. He holds two PhDs, one from the University of London and another from the University of Milan.
